I will make this short, sweet, and hopefully helpful!
I am well aware that we are in the midst of immense change in our world. This applies to the world in general as well as to each of us.
How we deal with this ever changing picture and experience called life is up to us.
Our thoughts have power, our words carry even greater power, and our actions are what cement our thoughts and words together to create life as we experience it.
Change has been a theme in my holistic practice lately, and that is no surprise. Many people are hiding from it, not really wanting to experience life and all of the changes and shifts that occur constantly. I hear words like “I’m trying”; “I don’t know how”, or “I’m afraid of what change means in my life.”
The words that we use are creating our experience in every moment, so what we bring to our experience is “trying”, “not knowing” and “fear.”
So my advice is to examine how you perceive change in your life. I had a beautiful image come up recently when working with a client in reference to how she was to consider looking at change. I asked her to imagine that change was like a kaleidoscope, and to see how the colors and shapes moved smoothly, constantly and beautifully to form new images. Change is like that…Always shifting, always bringing us new and beautiful scenes and experiences.
Carefully and mindfully examine the thoughts you have, the words that you use. Making that small change will shift your perception immediately. Then it is up to you to be a bit vigilant with yourself, and stay the course. But trust me, it is worth it. I am a reformed “creature of habit” who used to be very afraid of change because I could not control it. Ok, I’m still working on it, but life’s a journey! I am conscious of my thoughts, words and deeds, and that in and of itself is a huge and positive first step.
I know, I promised to make this short. Welcome change, see it as a colorful and beautiful experience. Being static is dull.
Much love and peace to you on your journey.
